1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that the website—or third-party services it uses—stores on the user’s device while browsing. They are used to ensure the website functions properly (e.g., shopping cart, checkout, security) and, if the user consents, to collect statistical information on website usage or to display personalized content.
2. Categories of cookies used
2.1 Technical (necessary) cookies
Cookies essential to the website’s operation: session management, shopping cart, checkout and payment processes, security, and fraud prevention. These are set by the Shopify platform that hosts the website. Pursuant to Article 122 of the Privacy Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003, as amended), these cookies do not require the user’s prior consent; however, this privacy notice must still be provided.
2.2 Analytical Cookies
Google Analytics 4 (GA4), used to collect aggregate statistics on traffic and user browsing behavior (pages visited, traffic sources, time spent on the site), in order to improve the website and our commercial offerings. These cookies require the user’s prior consent, unless the configuration used meets the exemption criteria set forth in the Italian Data Protection Authority’s guidelines on analytical cookies in aggregated/anonymized form—a condition to be verified on a case-by-case basis based on the actual technical configuration of GA4 chosen for this site.
2.3 Third-Party Cookies (Apps Installed from the Store)
Cookies set by third-party services integrated via apps on the Shopify store, including at least:
- Feedaty (collection of certified product/store reviews);
- any advertising or remarketing pixels (e.g., Meta, Google Ads), if and when activated—these are not active as of the date this document was drafted; if activated in the future (see Phase 5 of the B2C spec), this section must be updated with the specific list before the change goes live.
These cookies require the user’s prior consent, with the option to selectively opt out by category or purpose (e.g., accept analytics but opt out of remarketing).
3. Consent Management
Upon first accessing the site, a cookie banner is displayed that allows the user to:
- accept all non-technical cookies;
- reject all non-technical cookies (only technical cookies remain active);
- customize consent on a per-category basis (analytics, third-party).
No non-technical cookies are set until the user makes a selection via the banner.
4. How to Revoke or Modify Consent
You can change your preferences at any time:
- via the “Manage Cookie Preferences” link/button available in the website footer;
- through their browser settings, which allow them to block or delete cookies already stored (which may affect the proper functioning of the website’s technical features, such as the shopping cart).
